A secluded natural pocket in the Appalachian Mountains, Buck's Pocket State Park includes a scenic picnic area, campground and hiking trails. The park has the slogan "Haven for Defeated Politicians", referring to the legend that politicians would hide out at the park after a defeat. It is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Albertville near Lake Guntersville.
